Dr. Khaled Alawasa received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Mutah University, Al‐Karak, Jordan, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree in power engineering with business from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, U.K., in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada, in 2014.
He was an Engineer with the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), Amman, Jordan, from 2001 to 2007 and a Power System Specialist with Magna IV, Edmonton, from 2012 to 2013. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mutah University. His main research interests are renewable energy integration, power system quality, stability, control, protection and dynamics, power converters.
Dr. Alawasa has been involved in several photovoltaics (PVs) projects as leader in preparing the ToR documents and technical evaluation committee for
Mutah University 5 MW, Mutah University 10 MW, and Al- Karak Great municipality 3
MW. Currently he is the site manager for Mutah University 5 MW PVs project.
