" I held key academic administration positions for 8 years in Jordan and in UAE (in Jordan, 2 years as head of department for mechanical engineering, 1 year as assistant dean for student affairs, work placement and industrial relations, 3 years as associate dean for scientific research and postgraduate studies). In the UAE at HCT Abu Dhabi Men’s College, I held two positions, 1 year as Program Chair for Mechanical and Maritime Engineering and 1 year as Program Chair for Applied Research. I have work experience in different countries (UK, Malaysia, Jordan and UAE). I graduated from UK with PhD from University of Sussex and MSc from Cranfield University. In addition, I have been teaching a variety of courses and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate projects and participating with accreditation committees and many other affairs related to academia and industrial relations. I chaired and participated in many technical and nontechnical committees and was head of ABET accreditation committee in 2002.
During my service I was heavily involved in engineering curricula development and accreditation through collaboration with industry and the community to build an environment that maximizes student learning, academic performance, and professional growth. During my service at UAE I was a team member for establishing an Innovative Center for Interdisciplinary Research with emphasis on renewable and nonrenewable energy, material science and desalination in cooperation with industry as well as creating incubation centers to encourage students to do design thinking and applied research.

Educated in UK and has experience extending over 3 decades in academia and industry in various countries (UK, Malaysia, Jordan, and UAE). Held various positions in academic administration for 8 years. Co-established the Faculty of Engineering and participated in establishing other faculties and research centers at Mu’tah University in Jordan.
