"                                                         Professor Sultan A Tarawneh; received his B.S.c in Building and Civil Engineering, from the Faculty of Engineering; Yarmouk University, Jordan in 1986. The Master Degree in Civil Engineering specialized in Construction Engineering Management from Sheffield University, UK in 1995. The PhD in Civil Engineering specialized in Construction Engineering Management from Leeds University, UK in 1999.   He also has a B.S.c in Law from Mu'tah University, Jordan in 2017.Currently Professor Tarawneh is the Dean of Faculty of Engineering since 2017.

He worked as a Project Supervisor at several projects for the Jordanian Civil Defense from 1987 to 1988. He also worked Civil Engineer / Project Manager and Head of the Technical Team in the Jordanian Ministry of Municipalities/ Moa’b and Mu’tah Municipalities from 1989 to 1994. He is an Assistance professor in Civil Engineering at Mutah University since 1999 to 2004. After that he is promoted to Associate Professor in 2004 and a Full Professor in 2014. Professor Sultan has worked as Head of Department of Civil Environmental Engineering / Mu’tah University 2002 to 2003. Then he worked as the Director of the Utilities Unit / Mu’tah University from 2006 to 2007.


For the industrial experience he worked as Project Co-ordination and Engineering Manager, Al Habtoor Engineering Enterprises, UAE, from 2008 to 2012. Before that he was the Director of the Engineering Office and Head of Department of Civil Engineering at Tafila Technical University from 2007 to 2008. His current research interest is in Marketing, engineering management, engineering economy, sustainability and green building, ISO in construction. He published more than 30 papers in refereed Journals and conferences.
